Qivana Racing 2011: May 16 Update

Lynn Hardy and the METABOLIQ #4 Modified Race Team, led by crew chief Gary Dastrup, headed to Las Vegas for the Lucas Oil Modified Series on May 14. It wasn’t a points race, but the field was large, and the invitation to compete was irresistible. The conditions were a bit windy, but the temperature was perfect for racing.

The #4 struggled a little during practice, but qualified 14th fastest, putting it right in the middle of the 26 car field and in good position to move up in the 75-lap feature event.

The race was closely contested and aggressive driving resulted in several cautions as cars behind and in front of the METABOLIQ #4 got tangled as they tried to occupy the same space. The #4 car stayed clean though and continued to move through the field, eventually working itself into 3rd place on lap 73 after an impressive maneuver by driver Lynn Hardy.

As a result of the multiple caution flags during the race, race officials began to red flag the field, bringing cars to a full stop to preserve fuel during cautions. Due to race rules, only the last few caution laps counted against the race’s 75-laps and many cars were dangerously low on fuel. On the final restart, the METABOLIQ #4 raced into 2nd place, but in the very next turn, began to sputter as the tank ran dry. For a ‘no points’ race it was an exciting evening for the #4 car and the team. They performed well and finished without a blemish on a wild night of racing.

Next up for the METABOLIQ Team is a May 30 race featuring the METABOLIQ #4 Late Model at the Rocky Mountain Raceway in Salt Lake City, Utah. Be sure to follow us, this will be a great season for the METABOLIQ Team. For full details of the Las Vegas race, you can visit www.lvms.com.

Qivana Racing 2011: May 9 Update

Posted on : Tuesday, May 10, 2011 | By : QivanaHQ | In : Qivana Racing

Only one Qivana car raced over Mother’s Day weekend—the METABOLIQ Late Model #4 driven by Lynn Hardy at the Rocky Mountain Challenge Series (RCMS) held at the Rocky Mountain Raceway in Salt Lake City.

During the last race held in Twin Falls, Idaho, the #4 car was forced out of the race (due to accident) while leading on lap 48 of 75. That mishap resulted in three of the fastest competitors (#4, #09 and #33) being unable to finish the race, but all three cars were back in action for the May 7 race.

Leading up to the May 7 race, the METABOLIQ #4 turned in some very fast times during practice runs, but the driver, Lynn Hardy, felt the car was tight in the turns. The crew worked on the car for three days following practice and discovered the right front shock was malfunctioning.

The crew went to work immediately and rebuilt the suspension set-up in time to qualify for the race (each track has its own suspension set-up, requiring a new set-up to be configured for this race). Unfortunately, with all available practice time expended, there was no further opportunity to practice with the new set-up, so the race was entered not knowing how the car would handle. In the end, the car qualified in the middle of the field. Several final suspension adjustments were made though just prior to the start of the heat race, and the #4 car came out fast and ended up winning the heat going away.

The METABOLIQ #4 started the main event on the outside of the second row and quickly moved to the front during lap 3 (of 75). The #4 continued to lead, but began to get pressure from #03 (last year’s champion) and #84 (last race’s winner) at lap 50. The pressure was heavy until lap 64 when the #84 car got too aggressive and hit the METABOLIQ #4 from the rear, resulting in both cars to spin. RMCS Series rules state that all cars involved in collisions go to the back and a restart is required. The race restarted at lap 64 with the METABOLIQ #4 moving back through the field to claim a 5th place finish.

The METABOLIQ #4 ran another great race, but racing is 50% skill and 50% luck.  It’s clear though, this car coupled with a veteran driver, Lynn Hardy, the #4 will certainly win its share of races this season. The next race is scheduled for Memorial Day on May 30 in Salt Lake City and we will be ready!

Congratulations to driver Lynn Hardy, and the outstanding pit crew managed by Gary Dastrup.

Congratulations are in order—Janet DeLeo
is the latest Qivana IBO to achieve the rank of Diamond!

It didn’t take long for her to reach that goal and then to surpass it. Janet has said, “I’m building my Qivana business for my grandchildren because it is really important to me that I leave a legacy.” Congratulations on becoming Qivana’s newest Diamond Janet! The season is underway for the 2011 version of the METABOLIQ Late Model #4 and METABOLIQ Modified #4—both racing out of Salt Lake City, Utah. As you can tell from the photo of the late model below (taken prior to final completion), the design has slightly changed to allow the METABOLIQ name to show more prominently. The car has the same basic chassis and Chevy Impala body design, but has undergone considerable work to the suspension and engine. The pre-season practice sessions have been very encouraging, making for another very competitive season in the Rocky Mountain Challenge Series (RMCS).

-

The METABOLIQ Modified #4 is the same car as last year, save a few minor changes. Lynn Hardy will once again be at the wheel of both #4 cars in 2011.

-

The third car is the METABOLIQ Late Model #9 racing out of Olympia, Washington and driven again in 2011 by Dan Rhodes.

-

The METABOLIQ Late Model #4 raced for the first time Saturday, April 23 at the Magic Valley Speedway in Twin Falls, Idaho. The good news: the car and driver ran well and are poised to do very well in this year’s RMCS race schedule. The not so good news: the Late Model #4 was leading in lap 48 (of the 75 lap main event) when it was hit from the rear, causing it to spin, and was hit again by a trailing car. In the end, all three cars were unable to continue. Not a great start to the 2011 season (finishing 10th place for the race), but the Late Model #4 was able to accumulate123 points for the race. The next race is at the Rocky Mountain Raceway in Salt Lake City on May 7.

-

Here is the schedule of events for the next two months:

May 7 – Rocky Mountain Raceway – Salt Lake City, Utah – METABOLIQ Late Model #4
May 14 - Las Vegas Raceway – Las Vegas, Nevada – METABOLIQ Modified #4
May 21 – Rocky Mountain Raceway – Salt Lake City, Utah – METABOLIQ Modified #4
May 28 – South Sound Speedway – Olympia, Washington – METABOLIQ Late Model #9
May 30 – Rocky Mountain Raceway – Salt Lake City, Utah – METABOLIQ Late Model #4
June 4 – Wenatchee Valley Super Oval – ARCA West/Canadian Series – Wenatchee, Washington – METABOLIQ Late Model #9
June 4 – Rocky Mountain Raceway – Salt Lake City, Utah – METABOLIQ Modified #4

Debbie Badamo: Empowering Others

Posted on : Wednesday, May 4, 2011 | By : QivanaHQ | In : Q Newsletter, Recognition

Debbie Badamo’s journey to educate herself about natural health practices and nutrition began over two decades ago when she found herself blessed with a unique challenge; her oldest son was diagnosed with learning disabilities and severe ADHD. “I didn’t know much about natural medicine and herbs, but I knew the side effects of medicating my son would be detrimental to him,” she says. “I started studying everything I could about nutrition and natural therapies.” Debbie realized that the best place to learn was in an herb store and wellness center, so she began working at one close to home. “I always told myself, whatever obstacle is put here, I will find a way!”

And Debbie has found a way, not only for her son, but for countless others. Her passion to help others began first with her son, and continued with her two other children who subsequently were both diagnosed with learning disabilities and ADHD. This passion of serving others has now evolved into a complete lifestyle for Debbie. She worked at the wellness center for 11 years and became a certified natural health professional and massage therapist. “I decided I wanted to become a practitioner so I became a reiki master, so I do all types of energy works to balance the mind, body, and spirit,” she says.

As a professional in the natural health and wellness industry, Debbie has worked with hundreds of natural health products and a variety of clients with varying needs. “There are great products out there, but many lack key ingredients, and others simply can’t be absorbed by the body,” Debbie says.

When she was introduced to Qivana’s products by Dennis Petosa, Ted Skorman, and Steph Carse, she naturally did her research. “I studied the herbs, the direct delivery system, and the modified citrus pectin found in QORE Detox. I quickly realized that the ingredients lacking in other products were found in these products,” she says. “Next, there was integrity in the delivery of these products so that they actually work. And finally, these are doctor-developed products. These products are the result of each doctors’ lives work. That was what sealed it for me!”  So what’s Debbie’s favorite? “The QORE System,” she says. “It’s like the foundation to a solid house.”

Debbie describes her business building approach as grateful and confident. “It’s about taking posture. I now know that when I talk to people, I’m giving them the opportunity to change their lives,” she says. It’s Debbie’s confidence and gratitude that helped her to recently hit Platinum Star. “I’m so grateful to my team here in Orlando for taking time to shape and mold me into somewhat of a business person. Ted Skorman and Steph Carse worked tirelessly with me to help me feel comfortable with the business. I’m also grateful because I know God put me with this company. I don’t believe in coincidences.”

This past winter, Debbie had the opportunity to attend the Gold Summit. Debbie says, “What came out of that Summit for me was this: real people, real products, and real results. I now have an even greater commitment to my business and my team because of that experience. I know that this business means more than just working with a company; we’re all working together as a team to better the lives of people.” Debbie feels fortunate to work this business closely with her daughter, Dante. “I couldn’t think of a better partner to have than her. We share the same vision of helping others so it’s very natural to work with her.”

So what’s next for Debbie? “Diamond!” she exclaims enthusiastically. Debbie’s goal to help others started with her son and soon expanded to working and teaching others as a practitioner. Now her goal is to reach an ever larger audience. “We all need to be aware of the needs that are out there right now,” she says. “Our human purpose is to be a light to other people to encourage and empower others to live to their highest potential. With Qivana, I intend to empower as many people as I can.” As for reaching Diamond, Debbie says, “It would be an honor and the icing on the cake!”

SECRETS TO SUCCESS

1. Know the products.

2. Believe in yourself.

3. Never give up.

George & Cynthia Waller: The Right Time, The Right Product

Posted on : Wednesday, May 4, 2011 | By : QivanaHQ | In : Q Newsletter, Recognition

4

George Waller had his own CPA firm for 30 years and his wife, Cindy, worked as an accountant alongside him for 19 years until George sold his firm. Now they are enjoying their lives as a retired couple. “We have been married for 29 years and have four daughters and two grandsons,” says Cindy. “George loves to play golf almost every day, I love to scuba dive, and we both enjoy traveling so we have been visiting locations where we can both enjoy our hobbies.”

The Wallers are quite content with their lifestyle, so when George and Cindy heard about Qivana, their main motivation for becoming involved was to benefit George’s health. “The doctor had just told George that he needed to lose 20 pounds for health reasons,” says Cindy. “And I had been drinking a protein shake every day for 20 years to level my blood sugar levels, but the taste was horrible.” The Waller’s sponsor, Richard Androdevich, told them about the METABOLIQ Shake and the business opportunity. “We believe that networking is the way to build wealth beyond your time and effort. I also knew that if this product had more protein, tasted good, and would burn stored body fat, it would be the perfect product for so many people!” says Cindy.

When the Wallers researched the products and learned how they worked together to create overall improved health, it sealed the deal for them. “We knew so many people that would benefit from the products in so many ways, it just made sense,” she says. “George and I had often said that we wished we were financially independent and could help others to become the same way by building a network business. The time had arrived. This was the right product and along with the integrity and support of our upline, we knew this business would work.”

George and Cindy wasted no time starting their business. “We made up our minds to share this with as many people as we could as fast as we could. So each night we put together a list of people that we knew would benefit from this and we started calling them. We were very focused.” The Waller’s persistence and focus paid off when they hit Gold Star in just one week! “It was exciting to get a call telling us we had hit a new goal. We immediately set a new goal and just kept working,” she says. Next, the Wallers personally enrolled 15 IBOs in just three weeks. “We truly care about the people we share this business with and we share it with them for their benefit, not ours,” Cindy says.

The Waller’s advice to new IBOs is, don’t think you have to have all the answers. Cindy adds, “Start immediately and work as a team with your upline. Refer others to the many resources on the website so they can do their own research. Once they read it, the documentation speaks for itself.”

Although the Wallers are enjoying their retirement lifestyle together, they both agree they’ll never retire from Qivana! Their clear and decisive focus is a result of truly enjoying what they are doing. “Showing this business to people that we know who really understand how unique this opportunity is and who have a reason or why to build the business is exciting. We know when we introduce them to Qivana, we have just handed them a way to make their dreams come true, physically and financially.”

SECRETS TO SUCCESS

1. Attitudes are contagious.

2. Persistence, persistence, persistence!

3. Believe in your dreams.
