Congratulations are in order—Ray and Mikelyn Clausen are the latest Qivana IBOs to achieve the rank of Executive Diamond!

Ray and Mikelyn Clausen are Qivana’s newest Executive Diamonds! The Clausens’ love of associating with people is what has fueled their passion for the network marketing industry, and in turn led them to this incredible milestone. But they say it is a shared victory, “We know that the secret behind any accomplishment in this business is an exceptionally supportive upline.” Mikelyn admits, “John, Matt, and Traci have all been so faithful and supportive in coming here to do meetings for us. Matt comes to Destin once every month to support our team. They have been instrumental in our success.” Congratulations Ray and Mikelyn!

Ray & Mikelyn Clausen: Redefining the Golden Years

Ray and Mikelyn Clausen are enjoying their golden years together, but they are anything but retired. This dynamic duo is successfully building a strong Qivana team not only here in the United States, but also in Vietnam and Mexico. “The fact that we are finding such success both here and internationally, and at our age, just proves that there really are no limits with Qivana!” says Mikelyn. “Our future looks better and better with every step, thanks to Qivana,” adds Ray.

Ray and Mikelyn have both enjoyed being involved in the network marketing industry in the past mainly because of their love of associating with people. Ray worked 39 years in the electrical utility industry and retired as one of the vice presidents of Alabama electric. Retirement was short lived however, when a friend invited him to buy into a filter manufacturing company. This business venture lasted nine years and turned out to be an incredible and very enjoyable success for Ray. Mikelyn’s only job outside of the home was as the director of volunteer services for a local hospital. Together, the Clausens have five children, 11 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. After officially retiring, the Clausens sold their home in Alabama and moved to Florida. “We are enjoying a laid back lifestyle at the beach and it has been great!” exclaims Ray.

The Clausens are long-time friends of John Terhune and Ernie Lechner. “We feel blessed to be around John, Ernie, and their wives and we respect and admire their leadership,” says Mikelyn. The personal relationships and credibility that the Clausens have with the Terhunes and Lechners made it easy for them to want to be a part of Qivana. “At first, we felt like we were too old to start something new,” admits Mikelyn. “But we feel like we’ve been led to this opportunity.”

Faithfully and enthusiastically, the Clausens signed up on March 3, 2009. “We didn’t have any products and the company didn’t even have a name yet. Our kids thought we had really gone off the deep end,” laughs Mikelyn. They had confidence in the leadership, and once they began taking the Qore System products, the Clausens had proof. “I challenge people to consistently take our products for three months and to let their doctor tell them if the products are working or not. We have measurable results,” she adds.

Ray and Mikelyn steadily built their Qivana business and hit Diamond in April 2010. This success was followed by a period of slow growth, but the Clausens remained determined and focused; a quality learned from their upline, John Terhune and Dr. Matt and Tracy St. John. “We know that the secret behind any accomplishment in this business is an exceptionally supportive upline.” Mikelyn admits, “John, Matt, and Traci have all been so faithful and supportive in coming here to do meetings for us. Matt comes to Destin once every month to support our team. They have been instrumental in our success.”

Even better, this slow period forced them to think outside of the box. “We know the economy here is tough, so we thought it would be beneficial to expand our business internationally,” she says. Mikelyn is a member of Business Networking International (BNI), so she began searching online for BNI members in Mexico. She found an excellent contact that spoke perfect English and was looking for the right business opportunity. Ray is also a member of the Rotary Club, another international organization, so he obtained a list of all the Rotary Club presidents in Mexico and began contacting them. The Clausens now have a team growing in Mexico. “It’s simple thinking and a huge step of taking action,” says Mikelyn.

The Clausens quickly realized that having an international business didn’t necessarily require international travel. “We have so many people from different countries and cultures living here in the United States with ties to their native countries. We knew that if we could focus on personally sponsoring people here in the United States, the possibilities of them sharing it with their families and friends back home would be great,” says Mikelyn. This expansion started by personally sponsoring individuals in Atlanta, Georgia who began working with the Vietnamese population in that city. This business growth quickly expanded to Vietnam and before they knew it, Ray and Mikelyn were hitting Executive Diamond! “Getting to know these people, their cultures, and their communities is amazing,” says Ray. “We feel so blessed to have the opportunity to work with both the Vietnamese and Mexican people,” says Mikelyn.

Their advice to other IBOs considering international business expansion is to look around and start personally sponsoring here in the United States. “You’ll quickly discover just how many opportunities there are with people living here from different countries,” says Mikelyn. They both agree that the benefits they have gained from working with people of different cultures and countries have been amazing. “We have a small challenge with the language sometimes, but the opportunity to do business with them in their communities far exceeds any challenge,” says Mikelyn.

Building a business across borders can have its challenges, so Ray and Mikelyn teach their team members to keep things simple and to use the system already in place. “We try to show them the simplest ways to do things so that everyone can afford to be in this business,” says Ray. One example is that the Clausens only serve water at their meetings. They also use the SEE concept, which is Share the business opportunity; Engage by bringing them to the team through a meeting, phone call, etc.; and Enroll—it’s their decision.

Ray and Mikelyn’s outlook on their golden years together has taken on new meaning with Qivana. “It has changed our lives immensely,” says Ray. “Qivana has given us independence and improved health, and the income has enabled us to put back into our retirement, instead of spending it, which is fantastic!” Mikelyn adds, “Our children now tell us to please not act our age! We feel so grateful for our upline and our team members and we look forward to enjoying these wonderful relationships with our new Qivana family.”

SECRETS TO SUCCESS

1. Always keep a positive attitude.

2. Focus on helping others.

3. Let Qivana be the solution for goals or needs.

Christine Teodosio: In the Business of Bringing Family Together

Posted on : Wednesday, July 6, 2011 | By : QivanaHQ | In : Q Newsletter, Recognition

Christine Teodosio is one of those remarkable individuals who has persistently continued to flourish, in spite of her circumstances. “I would describe myself as a survivor because change was always constant in my life,” she says. Christine believes that her faith and determination to survive have guided her throughout her life. “My hardships have led me to have a creative mind as far as creating an income,” she adds. Having three jobs at one time was normal for Christine, so the idea of network marketing, building a residual income while maintaining a fulltime job, was something very feasible for her.

Christine’s professional background includes experience in sales, the fashion and cosmetics industry, and real estate. She and her husband, Robert, worked together in the real estate industry for 13 years and achieved the top three percent in the nation in home sales. When the Teodosios lost their home and almost everything they had on Black Monday, it forced Christine to become creative and resourceful once again. “It took nearly 13 years for my husband and I to gain our credibility back, but we turned our adversity into a blessing and it has been a key to our success with Qivana because we became acquainted with some wonderful people during our hard times,” she says.

Christine operates an upscale women’s boutique, yet despite their busy work schedules, the Teodosios were still living from paycheck to paycheck. “At that time when we should be near retirement and enjoying our golden years we were living month to month with more ailments, adding more hours to our jobs, a failing economy, and increased taxes and debt,” she says. Christine and Robert were introduced to Qivana by her daughter, Danelle Rich who is Qivana’s quickest to Diamond IBO. “She sparked my interest because she thoroughly researches things and she has been successful in everything she does,” Christine says.

The Teodosios quickly realized Qivana was a win-win opportunity. “Health and wellness plus residual income equal a baby boomer’s dream!” exclaims Christine. For the Teodosios, there were no risk factors with Qivana. “These great health and nutrition products cost less than what I would normally have to spend on doctor co-pays, vitamins, and physical therapy. Plus I’m saving money because I’m eating better,” she says. “I knew the products were working because my employees noticed my energy and my ability to stand, lift, and move with ease.”

It didn’t take long for the Teodosios to recognize and appreciate the wonderful strengths of their team members. Christine works full time at her current job, so Danelle stepped in and offered to help. “Robert and I are walking Rolodexes, so Danelle asked us to invite our contacts to the meetings. In no time at all, the Qivana family was helping us. I couldn’t believe how fun and exciting it was to leave our full time jobs at 6 p.m., attend a Qivana meeting, enroll our new IBOs afterwards, and then enjoy dinner together as a Qivana family.”

Danelle has been very instrumental in Christine’s success. This mother-daughter relationship is one of mutual respect with a strong desire to see each other succeed. “She has pointed out our gifts to us, she encouraged us by waiving her checks at us, and she engaged our entire family to work together, and to build and have a future together,” she says. Christine enjoys reciting her new motto which is, “The family that works Qivana together, stays together!”

The Teodosios began working their Qivana business together but Robert recently became an IBO himself so that he could have the opportunity to develop and strengthen a team with his friends and associates. “We love meeting new people, finding out what they do, and networking with them. It’s also wonderful to have the opportunity to revive old friendships. Best of all, we are helping people to achieve a lifestyle of health and a new source of income,” Christine shares.

Christine’s advice to other IBOs is to remember that most of the best entrepreneurs, inventors, and athletes have been told that they should give up. “Remember to embrace change as your friend and vehicle to success,” she adds. “Keep your faith, give thanks, and bless others.”

As one who is used to adapting to change, Christine is happy to say that Qivana represents a change that she had only dreamed of. “We will be healthy enough to enjoy our golden years, make up the retirement we lost and provide for ourselves, and finally pay it forward and bless others,” she says. “Plus in this day and age when families share little time together, we have found that we are bonding, growing, and sharing. I’m blessed and proud to be in a company that brings it all together. With Qivana, I know that we are using our God-given talents to bring our family together and to bless others.”

SECRETS TO SUCCESS

1. Build a strong foundation.

2. TEAM—together, each accomplishes more.

3. Remember to thank God. Believing is receiving.

AJ Monte: A Quality of Life

Posted on : Wednesday, June 1, 2011 | By : QivanaHQ | In : Q Newsletter, Recognition

1

If you think that AJ Monte’s list of credentials reads like the resume of a highly respected chartered market strategist, television guest and radio host, and best-selling author, well, it does! AJ Monte is a premier trading consultant and the chief market strategist for The Market Guys, Inc. He specializes in teaching professionals innovative strategies to accrue and protect wealth. A former NASDAQ Market Maker and chairman of the Options Floor Trading Committee for COMEX, AJ also spent ten years as a trader and member of the NY Commodity Exchange. With over 29 years in the business, AJ appears on ABC, FOX Business, and was the host for the PBS program Health and Wisdom. He is also a regular guest on Serious Money Radio. AJ is the author of two books, The Market Guys’ Five Points for Trading Success and Take Charge of Your Money Now!, and is in the process of completing his third book, Road to Diamond.

Yet best of all, says AJ, he’s a Qivana Diamond IBO. “In my former career, I was showing people how to make money by following my stock market strategies and options. It was thrilling to see how people’s lives would change when they applied what I had taught them. But for 30 years, I had been catering to peoples’ sense of greed instead of purpose. It left me feeling empty knowing I hadn’t changed the world; I had only made others more rich.”

The year before joining Qivana, AJ was on the road 258 days a year. He was at the airport about to leave on another business trip when he got a phone call from his friend, Debbie Campisi. “Debbie is a very successful, credible individual and I knew if she was involved with Qivana, I wanted to be involved, too,” he said. But what really drew AJ to Qivana was the lifestyle. “I have traveled to so many beautiful places all over the world, but it’s always been without my wife and our kids. Being in these beautiful places without the ones I love left me feeling empty inside.” Every time AJ left his family for another business trip, he would experience an internal tug of war. He quickly realized that with Qivana, he could have the peace of mind and family lifestyle he had always wanted. “Before Qivana, I was teaching people how to make money. Now I’m showing them how to live a life of quality. There are a lot people with lots of money who aren’t happy. Being able to show others how to have the freedom to work where and when you want, now that’s a wealthy life.”

AJ has successfully used the skills and knowledge gained from his previous experience to help create a thriving business at Qivana. He hit Diamond on May 14, and claimed two world records at the annual Convention in February: Most Personally Enrolled on Active AutoShip and Most Personally Sponsored Silvers. “What I’ve learned in the past is that you should never have to talk someone into reasons why they should be profitable,” he shares. “You can’t make someone feel comfortable in a business and you can’t sell it to them. You have to invite them and they have to want it for themselves. That’s where the journey begins.”

Florida is home to AJ, yet most of his team lives on the West coast and in Canada, so they rely heavily on conference calls and monthly live meetings. “This is the most exciting business I’ve done in my life. If you knew that what you’re doing could change someone’s life forever, how would you feel? With Qivana, we’re leaving a legacy that’s so much bigger than can be imagined.”

AJ believes that we tend to attract people who are like us into the business, so he encourages his team members to recruit up! “Talk to the people you respect and admire and especially to those who you feel have credibility.” He continues, “We attract the same mindset, so when you’re surrounded with people who are global in their thinking, it creates a synergy that’s unstoppable. At Qivana, we’re growing a culture of like-minded individuals who are focused on the big picture. People are drawn to Qivana and will continue to be drawn because of this unique culture.”

He describes his own team members as having a sense of purpose and a goodness of heart. “Giving back is the most important thing,” he says. “As a community of business owners we have the ability to influence others to think this same way. It’s this kind of thinking, a culture of caring and giving back, that will change the world.”

AJ’s good works extend far beyond the reach of his family, friends, and team members. You see, he’s a pilot, and every year he and a group of friends who are also pilots take part in charitable events for children with terminal illnesses. “We take the children up in the airplanes and let them sit behind the control panel and show them how we fly the plane. It’s such an empowering experience for everyone involved.” After the earthquake in Haiti, AJ loaded up his airplane with food and supplies. His attempt to get into Haiti was offset by lack of fuel at the airport, so he diverted his food and supplies to the military that was able to successfully get it into Haiti. “I have pretty lofty goals and I want to help my wife, Yvonne, fulfill her dream of doing charitable work for the rest of her life.”

Dreaming big is something that AJ encourages all IBOs to do. “People who are not dreaming are not living. Unfortunately society has taken those dreams from people, but at Qivana, we’re bringing them back. As a trend analyst over 30 years, I see the economy getting much worse before it gets better. This is not true for us. The sagging economic trend allows us to attract more people who are looking for opportunity.”

AJ still believes the best is yet to come with Qivana, and he tells his IBOs, “Let’s go vertical! Put on your seatbelts and we’re about to hit vertical momentum with Qivana.” Within the next five years AJ plans on creating 50 millionaires in his organization. “I can easily see that happening and we will be well on our way to a billion dollar company with Qivana.”

Despite all of his personal and professional accomplishments, AJ says, “I never believed that I would be a person to achieve greatness, but I always believed that one day I would touch the hand of someone who would be great. To know that I’ve influenced someone who would go on to do great things would be the pinnacle of achievement for me.”

SECRETS TO SUCCESS

1. Listen carefully.

2. Speak softly.

3. Dream big.

We feel honored that someone of AJ’s caliber has chosen to partner with Qivana. Clearly he brings an incredible amount of wisdom and expertise to our organization. His personal involvement is a testament to the incredibly unique opportunity we are building. He sees global market trends very clearly and he has repeatedly said Qivana will go vertical. Once again, his prediction is proving correct.

Danelle Rich: Creating Positive Changes

Posted on : Wednesday, June 1, 2011 | By : QivanaHQ | In : Q Newsletter, Recognition

2

Danelle Rich describes herself as a driven and goal-oriented person. “I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit and I enjoy working with people,” she says. “Plus I love a challenge. Give me a goal and I always seek to surpass it.” Danelle has been in sales for most of her career and spent six years as the corporate sales manager of a four-diamond waterfront hotel in Connecticut. She also completed her real estate license in 2005. Before she was introduced to Qivana, Danelle and her husband, Don, were running three small businesses.

“Don and I are hard working individuals and we hold ourselves to a high standard. We strive for integrity and excellence in every business we run.” Although the Richs enjoyed running their businesses, Danelle admits, “We have been time bankrupt for too long. And the economic downturn has made being self-employed a challenge to say the least.”

When Danelle and Don were introduced to Qivana, they knew this was their opportunity to create positive changes in their lives. “We knew Qivana was worth a shot. The business opportunity was something that we couldn’t pass up because it offers something that no other business opportunity offers—the potential to be debt free in less time than we could have ever imagined,” she says. Danelle knows that with her Qivana business, she doesn’t have to wait for the economy to recover or for the government to intervene. She adds, “We can take control of our future, and that’s exciting for us! While we are helping secure our own future, we are also helping others to do the same.”

The Richs describe themselves as natural product lovers because they have been eating organic foods, and using natural supplements and healthcare practitioners for years. “We know the power behind natural products, and it’s an industry that is growing by leaps and bounds every year,” she says. Danelle even knew about Dr. Donald Layman and his metabolic research before she had ever heard of Qivana. Dr. Layman and the METABOLIQ System are the other reasons why Danelle was attracted to Qivana. “Dr. Layman is the ‘Father of Metabolic Research.’ Knowing that he had created a weight loss system backed by decades of research made me even more certain about Qivana.”

Prior to joining Qivana, Danelle and Don had no experience in network marketing. Danelle admits, “I actually said I would never get involved in it. I clearly was wrong. In an era of emails and texting, it’s hard to feel connected to people. Network marketing forces people to interact face to face. It’s a breath of fresh air. I love every aspect of it!”

Danelle and Don started their Qivana business by making their Top 100 list and hitting the phones every day. “Our excitement is what caught the attention of our friends and family. This piqued their curiosity enough that they attended a live meeting or a webinar,” she says. Through consistent daily effort and working as a team with their upline, Danelle and Don signed three people in their first week and hit Silver Pro. They kept their momentum up and by week three, they hit Platinum Star. “Hitting Platinum Star was blissfully exhausting,” she says. “With the amazing support from our upline and the goals we have personally reached, we are headed for Diamond by July!”  The Richs made a goal to enroll 28 personal IBOs within their first 60 days, and they are well on their way to achieving it. Her advice is, “Always share with those people who you really think can see the vision of Qivana and take it somewhere great. They are the most valuable to your business.”

Danelle’s approach to building their business is simple and straight forward. “We just share, share, share. We don’t sell.” If people are interested, the Richs invite them to a live meeting or webinar. One lesson Danelle has learned is to never cross anyone off her list. “We had three separate people all tell us no during our first few weeks in the business. When they saw our immediate success, all three signed up! Some people just need time to see the vision. Once they do, they will chase you to join Qivana!”

Danelle is quick to credit her upline for their support which has come in the way of hosting meetings, webinars, and training her on every aspect of the business and products. “The knowledge they have given me is phenomenal,” she says. She encourages all of her IBOs to learn from above, be teachable, and follow the success of their leaders. “Your upline leaders will help you learn everything you need to know to reach your goals.”

For Danelle and Don, the three words that describe their experiences with Qivana are: enthusiasm, credibility, and knowledge. She explains, “We know this is a huge opportunity so we are extremely enthusiastic when we share it with anyone. We have credibility so people listen to what we have to say. And finally, we know our company and the products inside and out. We love the products and live on them! The combination is intoxicating and people are always asking us about Qivana!”

The Richs have very specific goals and milestones that they intend to reach in their Qivana business. For Danelle, one goal in particular is very personal. “I want to see my husband retire in the next three to five years,” she says. He has worked so hard for our family and nothing would bring me more joy than to see him have more time with his children, more time with me, and more time doing the things he loves to do.” Danelle and Don, who prior to Qivana described their lives as being “time bankrupt”, are now making plans to travel to the places they have always talked about. “One of my dreams is to go bone fishing in the Florida Keys, fly fishing in Montana, and salmon fishing in Alaska. Maybe I’ll even splurge on some ballroom dancing lessons!” she says.

The Richs say that they thank God every day for placing Qivana in their lives. “Qivana has given us hope and the atmosphere in our home has changed,” she says. The Richs now talk with excitement about people they can help as their income continues to grow. They know that being debt free will feel great, but they also know that helping people around them feels even better. Of their success, Danelle says, “We aren’t special. We’re just hungry to reach our goals! We are beyond excited and can’t wait to see what’s in store for us next.”

SECRETS TO SUCCESS

1. Have no fear.

2. Visualize your success!

3. Eat, sleep, and breathe Qivana.

James Morgan: Losing Weight Creates Solid Business Foundation

Posted on : Wednesday, June 1, 2011 | By : QivanaHQ | In : Q Newsletter, Recognition

Last year, James Morgan was looking for a change. He was out of work, overweight, and facing increased health challenges due to his weight. “I’m an ordained minister and my passion is teaching youth,” he says. With the economic downturn, church organizations began cutting back on staff and James found himself in a relentless search for a new position. When his friend, David Diaz de Arce introduced James to the Qivana business opportunity, James knew the timing couldn’t be more perfect.

“I thought to myself, this is a business where I can become financially independent, I can choose where I want to live, and I can be a minister on my own terms.” But first of all, James wanted to see how the products worked, so he gave his mom a box of the QORE System and waited. After 28 days and good results, James was sold, as was his Mom!

James knew he had a good thing with Qivana, but his initial business growth was slow. “I couldn’t get people to listen to me. Here I am, a guy over 340 pounds, telling them about these health and weight loss products that could change their lives. Yet I was the one whose life needed to be changed first,” he says. James’s 348 pounds weighed heavy on his mind for one particular reason. When he first met his wife, Monique, he weighed 295 pounds. He promised her that he would lose more weight and improve his health, so he began doing kickboxing and Brazilian jiu jitsu. He lost weight but never changed his eating habits, so once he stopped being active, the weight piled on. “We got married this past January and I weighed 348 pounds. On our honeymoon, it was a real struggle for me to just keep up with my active wife who wanted to go out and do everything,” he relates. For James, that experience was a big wakeup call.

“While we were at Convention, we saw a woman who had lost 116 pounds on stage. At that point, Monique’s elbow jabbed into my side as if to say, ‘She can do it. Why can’t you do it?’” After hearing Dr. Layman speak about the METABOLIQ System and products, James felt empowered to try it and stick to the program. The Shake Yourself Slim Contest was the catalyst James needed and used to finally get started and stay committed. He began his weight loss quest on February 19, 2011 weighing in at 348 pounds. At the end of his 90-day challenge, James had lost 61 pounds and 27 inches and now weighs 287 pounds – five pounds less than when he first met his wife!

“The surprising thing is that losing weight with the METABOLIQ System is so easy and so fast,” he exclaims. “I just followed the program precisely and put in 30 minutes of exercise every day.” James biked every day and then once a week, he would reward himself with “fun” exercise and go to Disneyworld. “At the end of the day, I had walked six miles or more and it didn’t even seem like it because I was having so much fun.”

James has shed a lot of weight and inches, but what he has gained is immeasurable. “I have more confidence and self esteem, plus I get a lot more smiles from my wife,” he says. “People treat me differently now and they’ll actually listen to me.” His only regret is that he didn’t start the METABOLIQ System and lose the weight earlier. “Losing this weight has changed my outlook for success in life and with Qivana 100 percent. This experience has given me a solid foundation that I can share with others,” he says. James, who refers to himself as the walking talking business card now feels like anything is possible with Qivana. “I want to continue to lose weight, take my wife on a Qivana rewards trip, and be a Diamond next year,” he proclaims. He even has his sights set on bodybuilding competitions.

His advice to others thinking about trying the METABOLIQ System is simply this—do it! “The only person holding you back from achieving your weight loss goals and improving your health is you. Dr. Layman has created a vehicle that works. Mentally challenge yourself to stick to it and I guarantee you’ll lose weight, you’ll change your body, and most importantly, you’ll change your life!”

SECRETS TO SUCCESS

1. Keep moving forward.

2. Educate yourself.

3. Be honest with yourself and others.

Congratulations to Qivana’s Newest Diamond: AJ Monte

1

Congratulations are in order—AJ Monte is the latest Qivana IBO to achieve the rank of Diamond!

In addition to claiming two world records at the annual Convention in February, AJ Monte has now become Qivana’s newest Diamond! AJ’s success is the natural product of his desire to help others, and he does so without hesitation. He advises all IBOs to “Be excited, stay focused, and above all know that we are going to change the world for the better. Once people see this in you, they will follow.” Congratulations AJ! We couldn’t be more proud.
