Richard & Sara Alvarez: Praying For the Perfect Opportunity

Richard Alvarez may be new to network marketing; however, he is no stranger to success. This self-made entrepreneur has been at the helm of establishing and operating thriving businesses and enjoyed the reality of being his own boss for the last 22 years. “I’ve been in the sales industry all my life, and although many networking opportunities have been pitched to me, I was never interested until I heard about Qivana,” he says.

Richard and his wife, Sara, were both attracted to Qivana for several reasons. “I was impressed by the extensive background of each of the Founders,” Richard says. “I was also drawn to the fact that this was a ground floor opportunity. I knew there would be incredible potential for growth and success,” he continues. Richard and Sara were also very interested in Qivana’s products. “These products offer a systematic and preventative approach. This was appealing to us because the products didn’t claim to cure anything, but instead to promote overall improved health.” The Founders, the products, the opportunity, all these elements are what create the unique culture found at Qivana, and Richard and Sara knew they wanted to be a part of it.

“I had been praying to God for an opportunity where we could make a difference in peoples’ lives. At the same time, I wanted something that we could leave to our children. We have found both with Qivana and that’s why I know it’s the right opportunity for us,” Richard adds.

Richard says that he had to learn from his team and become teachable because he had no idea where or how to get started with his new business. “My upline gave me the tools and mentoring that I needed to grow my business,” he says. Now he advises all new IBOs to work with their upline, define their why, and to work as a team.

A natural leader, Richard is always seeking like-minded individuals to share the Qivana business opportunity with. “I look for people who have the qualities of strong leadership, integrity, a sincere personality, and an entrepreneurial spirit.” The Alvarez’s team has grown to 45 personally enrolled IBOs and they are working extensively with the Latin American market and finding incredible success.

“Being Latino, I’m familiar with and can relate to our communities’ needs and wants,” he says. “We feel very fortunate to share the business opportunity and the health benefits of Qivana’s products with so many people. We hold weekly meetings and monthly events and we are very involved with the community leaders,” he says.

Richard and Sara just reached a milestone goal by achieving Platinum Star. “I am very proud of our team and will continue to work hard to help them accomplish their ranks and to realize their goals and dreams. It also feels great to know that we are on our way to becoming a Diamond!”

Numbers aside, Richard’s greatest sense of satisfaction comes when he witnesses the success of a team member. “I am most proud when my team member moves up a rank or experiences a difference in their health due to the products. Debbie Badamo: Empowering Others

Debbie Badamo’s journey to educate herself about natural health practices and nutrition began over two decades ago when she found herself blessed with a unique challenge; her oldest son was diagnosed with learning disabilities and severe ADHD. “I didn’t know much about natural medicine and herbs, but I knew the side effects of medicating my son would be detrimental to him,” she says. “I started studying everything I could about nutrition and natural therapies.” Debbie realized that the best place to learn was in an herb store and wellness center, so she began working at one close to home. “I always told myself, whatever obstacle is put here, I will find a way!”

And Debbie has found a way, not only for her son, but for countless others. Her passion to help others began first with her son, and continued with her two other children who subsequently were both diagnosed with learning disabilities and ADHD. This passion of serving others has now evolved into a complete lifestyle for Debbie. She worked at the wellness center for 11 years and became a certified natural health professional and massage therapist. “I decided I wanted to become a practitioner so I became a reiki master, so I do all types of energy works to balance the mind, body, and spirit,” she says.

As a professional in the natural health and wellness industry, Debbie has worked with hundreds of natural health products and a variety of clients with varying needs. “There are great products out there, but many lack key ingredients, and others simply can’t be absorbed by the body,” Debbie says.

When she was introduced to Qivana’s products by Dennis Petosa, Ted Skorman, and Steph Carse, she naturally did her research. “I studied the herbs, the direct delivery system, and the modified citrus pectin found in QORE Detox. I quickly realized that the ingredients lacking in other products were found in these products,” she says. “Next, there was integrity in the delivery of these products so that they actually work. And finally, these are doctor-developed products. These products are the result of each doctors’ lives work. That was what sealed it for me!”  So what’s Debbie’s favorite? “The QORE System,” she says. “It’s like the foundation to a solid house.”

Debbie describes her business building approach as grateful and confident. “It’s about taking posture. I now know that when I talk to people, I’m giving them the opportunity to change their lives,” she says. It’s Debbie’s confidence and gratitude that helped her to recently hit Platinum Star. “I’m so grateful to my team here in Orlando for taking time to shape and mold me into somewhat of a business person. Ted Skorman and Steph Carse worked tirelessly with me to help me feel comfortable with the business. I’m also grateful because I know God put me with this company. I don’t believe in coincidences.”

This past winter, Debbie had the opportunity to attend the Gold Summit. Debbie says, “What came out of that Summit for me was this: real people, real products, and real results. I now have an even greater commitment to my business and my team because of that experience. I know that this business means more than just working with a company; we’re all working together as a team to better the lives of people.” Debbie feels fortunate to work this business closely with her daughter, Dante. “I couldn’t think of a better partner to have than her. We share the same vision of helping others so it’s very natural to work with her.”

So what’s next for Debbie? “Diamond!” she exclaims enthusiastically. Debbie’s goal to help others started with her son and soon expanded to working and teaching others as a practitioner. Now her goal is to reach an ever larger audience. “We all need to be aware of the needs that are out there right now,” she says. “Our human purpose is to be a light to other people to encourage and empower others to live to their highest potential. With Qivana, I intend to empower as many people as I can.” As for reaching Diamond, Debbie says, “It would be an honor and the icing on the cake!”

George & Cynthia Waller: The Right Time, The Right Product

George Waller had his own CPA firm for 30 years and his wife, Cindy, worked as an accountant alongside him for 19 years until George sold his firm. Now they are enjoying their lives as a retired couple. “We have been married for 29 years and have four daughters and two grandsons,” says Cindy. “George loves to play golf almost every day, I love to scuba dive, and we both enjoy traveling so we have been visiting locations where we can both enjoy our hobbies.”

The Wallers are quite content with their lifestyle, so when George and Cindy heard about Qivana, their main motivation for becoming involved was to benefit George’s health. “The doctor had just told George that he needed to lose 20 pounds for health reasons,” says Cindy. “And I had been drinking a protein shake every day for 20 years to level my blood sugar levels, but the taste was horrible.” The Waller’s sponsor, Richard Androdevich, told them about the METABOLIQ Shake and the business opportunity. “We believe that networking is the way to build wealth beyond your time and effort. I also knew that if this product had more protein, tasted good, and would burn stored body fat, it would be the perfect product for so many people!” says Cindy.

When the Wallers researched the products and learned how they worked together to create overall improved health, it sealed the deal for them. “We knew so many people that would benefit from the products in so many ways, it just made sense,” she says. “George and I had often said that we wished we were financially independent and could help others to become the same way by building a network business. The time had arrived. This was the right product and along with the integrity and support of our upline, we knew this business would work.”

George and Cindy wasted no time starting their business. “We made up our minds to share this with as many people as we could as fast as we could. So each night we put together a list of people that we knew would benefit from this and we started calling them. We were very focused.” The Waller’s persistence and focus paid off when they hit Gold Star in just one week! “It was exciting to get a call telling us we had hit a new goal. We immediately set a new goal and just kept working,” she says. Next, the Wallers personally enrolled 15 IBOs in just three weeks. “We truly care about the people we share this business with and we share it with them for their benefit, not ours,” Cindy says.

The Waller’s advice to new IBOs is, don’t think you have to have all the answers. Cindy adds, “Start immediately and work as a team with your upline. Refer others to the many resources on the website so they can do their own research. Once they read it, the documentation speaks for itself.”

Although the Wallers are enjoying their retirement lifestyle together, they both agree they’ll never retire from Qivana! Their clear and decisive focus is a result of truly enjoying what they are doing. “Showing this business to people that we know who really understand how unique this opportunity is and who have a reason or why to build the business is exciting. We know when we introduce them to Qivana, we have just handed them a way to make their dreams come true, physically and financially.”

Debra Campisi is reaching incredible milestones with Qivana. At Convention it was announced that she was the first Diamond of 2011. Looking back on this accomplishment Debra says, “Honestly, I think I allowed about 15 minutes for everything to settle in, and then I quickly turned my thoughts on to my next goal: Executive Diamond!”, a goal that didn’t take her long to accomplish. Since Convention, she has become Qivana’s first female Executive Diamond. Way to go Debra!

Tim Arnheim: Believe in the Products, Believe in Others

For the past 25 years, Tim Arnheim has enjoyed a successful career in broadcasting working in local television news. So when his best friend, Steve Glum, approached him about Qivana, Tim’s motive for becoming an IBO was to benefit his own health. “I had a heart attack at age 45, so I was looking for healthier alternatives,” says Tim, who became an IBO in February 2010.

Tim started taking the products but he waited six months before he spoke to people outside of his own family about Qivana. “Now I can’t stop sharing because of all the positive results I am seeing in people who use the QORE® System and METABOLIQ® System,” he admits.

Tim describes his approach to building his Qivana business as unconventional. “I have taken a route in my rank advancement going straight from Silver to Gold to Platinum,” he explains. Tim was determined to reach Platinum by the National Convention in Florida this year. “The week I did it, I had 480 points in my lesser leg and a little more than 50 people in my business.  I could have never reached my goal without the relentless support of my up team: Steve Glum, Steph Carse, Jennifer Martin, Ted Skorman, and Frank Zecher. I will always remember that week as a turning point in my Qivana business.”

That experience of working together as a team to achieve a goal taught Tim many things. Among them he says, “There is nothing more powerful than having someone who you respect believe in you.  My team members would not let me fail and in turn, I did not want to disappoint them.”

Tim adds, “Steph Carse told me, ‘We are going to do this!’ even when we were down some two thousand points on Saturday—and we did it!” Tim and his best friend, Steve Glum, both went Platinum the same week as a result of making a plan and working together. “What made the week even more gratifying were the rank advancements of our other team members,” says Tim. “This is the key to success in Qivana: work from the bottom up and help team members achieve rank.”

So what’s next for Tim? “My goal is to reach Diamond and help my team members advance in rank by the next Convention,” he shares. His advice to new IBOs is to get off to a fast start. Next, he says, “Don’t be afraid to ask for help from the people in your up team. They want to help you succeed.” And based on his personal success with the products, Tim adds, “Believe in the products. They are needed and they are transforming lives!”

Debra Campisi: Giving Back

Over 20 years ago, Debra Campisi worked as the head of a seizure unit in a children’s hospital. Although she loved what she was doing, she yearned for a profession that would allow her flexibility, creativity, time, and financial freedom. For Debra, the network marketing industry was her perfect match. “I believe we all want and need to feel a part of something much bigger than ourselves and give back something meaningful to the world,” she says. Her focus on giving back to others has made her a natural leader, mentor, and thriving business builder. During that time, Debra helped open and develop many international markets which created a seven-figure yearly residual income that allowed her to retire in her 30s. Looking back, Debra says, “That was an was an exciting time filled with so many new experiences including tremendous personal growth, travel, and establishing new friendships that will last a lifetime.”

After taking several years off to pursue other personal goals, Debra decided it was the right time in her life to become involved with Qivana and get back to building again. “What impressed me more than anything at that time was the executive team whose resumes read like a Who’s Who list for a Fortune 500 company. I believe in and trust Derek Hall and all our Founders, and I feel privileged to be part of taking their mission to the world.”

Debra describes herself as an “all-or-nothing” personality, so once she joined Qivana, she immersed herself into a disciplined daily routine of sharing the opportunity and product with those who she respects and admires most. “I believe my past network marketing experiences allowed me to get on a fast track with Qivana because many of my past lessons taught me to make better judgments,” she shares.

Debra knows that success with Qivana means working as a team. “Although we must be responsible for our actions, we cannot achieve success without the cooperation of others. People are the lifeblood of our business.” She continues, “When looking for prospects to bring into the business, I try to think of how I can best fill their needs or wants, not mine. I realize it’s not about what I want but how I can help them to achieve what they want.”

Debra’s advice to new IBOs is to take their new business seriously. “Treat your new business as though you just invested all your hard earned money or maybe even mortgaged your house to get started. I can assure you that if you do, you won’t walk away as easily when you experience challenges.”

Debra’s commitment and focus helped her to hit Diamond just in time for Convention, being recognized and celebrated as the first Diamond of 2011. “I really can’t take the all the credit for these accomplishments. Pam Human: Committing to Others Creates Successful Weight Loss

Losing so much has never felt so good! Just ask Pam Human, who in 11 months has lost 116 pounds and gone from a size 22 to a size 10 with the METABOLIQ® System. “I am smaller, stronger, and more active and energetic than I have ever been in my adult life. Losing this type of weight in less than a year is simply amazing to me,” says Pam, who just finished cleaning out her closet, again!

Prior to her success with the METABOLIQ System, Pam described herself as always being overweight. “I had tried all the weight loss programs and products out there but never found anything that worked for me.” When her best friend, Diamond Marty Keefe, asked Pam to try and commit to the METABOLIQ System for 90 days, Pam reluctantly said yes. “I thought that this program would mean another failure for me,” she explains. “Marty and her husband, Joe, have done so much for me that I wanted to make this commitment to them.” Pam met with Marty, Joe, and long-time friend (Diamond IBO) Dr. Rick Mays and signed up as an IBO. “I know these people and have complete faith in them. I knew if they were involved with Qivana then it must be a good thing,” Pam says.

Unlike other diet programs and products, Pam quickly discovered that the METABOLIQ System is simple and straightforward. “METABOLIQ fits into my lifestyle. You don’t have to think about what to eat or do next and you can take the products with you anywhere you go,” she says. Pam started drinking the shakes twice a day for the first six weeks. Right from the start, Pam noticed that she no longer had the cravings or hunger she had always experienced. Even better, Pam felt energetic—she felt like exercising! So she started walking three miles three times a week and swimming. “I even entered into a 5K walk which is something I never thought I would do!”

Pam’s entire focus was on losing weight and being active, so she hadn’t really considered the business aspect of Qivana. “I soon discovered it was crazy to not be involved in the business because so many people were asking me about the METABOLIQ System,” she says. “Being an active business builder definitely inspires me to eat healthy and be active because I’m constantly telling my story to people, whether it’s at a Qivana business meeting or to a friend at work. I want to be a good example and I want to make my business partners proud,” she says.

When Pam was recently called on stage during Qivana’s Convention in Orlando by Qivana Founder Justin Banner, she was shocked. “I wanted to make sure that I gave credit where it was due—to Marty, Joe, Dr. Mays, and the METABOLIQ products. Everyone has been so supportive, I felt like I was winning an Oscar!” And for Pam, that winning feeling is just one of the many positive things she has gained—from losing weight.

The Qivana Hall of Fame is an ongoing recognition program where we will induct individuals for outstanding achievements. Once inducted, an IBO will forever be a Qivana Hall of Fame member.
